TV ONE ANNOUNCES THE MPG-200 DIGITAL VIDEO RECORDER

Building on the success of its MPG-100 MPEG-2@Disk Product, TV One has developed
a feature laden successor called the MPG-200 MPEG-2@Disk. This exciting new product
retains the best of the MPG-100 product and adds many new features in response
to customer requests. These new capabilities make the MPG-200 a product that any
Broadcaster would find ideal. And it provides extra versatility to Presentation
and Production users as well.

The MPG-200 is a VTR replacement offering multi-speed playback including forward
and backward slow motion. It’s also IP enabled, allowing remote control
of multiple units from one or more locations using the ubiquitous Internet Browser.
This same IP capability includes a Playback and Recorder Playlist Editor making
the MPG-200 not just a VTR replacement but a replacement with a built in Scheduler.

Time shifting is possible making the MPG-200 a powerful system that can delay
Video and Audio just a few seconds (to eliminate those pesky “Wardrobe Malfunctions”)
or delay the input for a much greater period of time––an hour or even
longer––allowing time shifting of an entire program.

The MPG-200’s storage format is the world standard MPEG-2 system used for
DVD distribution. But TV One has taken things well beyond DVD quality. DVD’s
are typically recorded at 6 Mbit/s MP@ML, yet the TV One MPG-200 can increase
the recorded image’s quality to 12 Mbit/s MP@ML, resulting in picture fidelity
well beyond what even enhanced DVDs provide.

The Removable Hard Drive allows virtually unlimited storage capabilities for all
users plus provide a way to create a protected evidence chain in legal applications
without impacting ongoing use of the machine.

Broadcasting, Presentations, Legal, Medical, Sports and Wedding production are
all intended markets for the new TV One MPG-200. With its Network capability and
greatly enhanced feature list, The MPG-200 provides a vehicle for almost any video
recording opportunity. The MSRP for the MPG-200 is $3250.00 with a 250Gb Hard
Drive.
